Environmental Policy
It is our policy to protect the environment as much as possible and to adhere to the various regulations in force such as MARPOL regarding marine pollution. Accordingly all cremated remains for sea burial must be passed to us in either a biodegradable urn, biodegradable box or a water soluble (PVA) plastic bag in which the ashes are to be committed.
Ashes for scattering on our Skippers Service should be similarly presented as we regret it is not possible to return urns and suchlike.
Obviously ashes for the Family Service may arrive in any suitable container which can be taken home afterwards. It is important to remember that only one floral tribute can be laid at sea and these must not contain any wires or plastics whatsoever. We appreciate your help in protecting the environment.
